Concordia: Britannia/Germania
$24.95 SRP

Concordia: Britannia Expansion features a double-sided map for Concordia.  The Britannia map offers tight play with only 23 cities in ten provinces and players start in London and Calais, expanding Britannia from the south. The Germania map features 30 cities in twelve provinces again. The additional castles, different starting positions, and sea colonists moving along rivers bring new options into play.

2-5 players
Ages 12+

Antike II
$59.95 SRP

Antike II is a challenging strategy game about evolution and competition among ancient civilizations. Ancient nations create cities, build temples, sail the seas, and discover new principles of science and technology. Their legions and galleys open new settlements and defend their people against attacks from their enemies. Two scenarios can be chosen as the game board is two-sided.

Every nation tries to win ancient kings, scholars, generals, citizens, and navigators for themselves. The nation that acquires a specified number (depending on the number of players) of ancient personalities first wins the game!

Lead one of these nations to victory but watch out for your enemies as they will want to conquer your cities to destroy your temples. The game depends not on the luck of dice or cards, but on thoughtful plans and skillful diplomacy.

Antike II differs from the 2005 Antike in several ways. To start, players now own city tokens, which allows them some degree of choice as to which resource a newly founded city shall produce. Military units have become more expensive, and the rules for the conquest of cities are considerably easier. The scientific progresses were altered as well. Neutral temples now exist, which may be destroyed, gaining VPs of a general, without harming other players. The game features two new maps in a new graphical design, and a new card named “BELLONA” (the ancient Roman goddess of war) has been introduced to counter the starting player’s advantage.

Bohnanza: Ladies & Gangsters
$24.95 SRP
Ladies offers female versions of the beans used in Bohnanza with better payoffs than their male counterparts, for more money when the female beans are at the top of the harvest. Ladies is quite similar to Bohnanza, but gentleman and lady beans have different Beanometers within the same bean type; and baby beans have no Beanometer at all. When harvesting a field, the Beanometer showing on the top-most card (last card played) in the field is the one used for earning gold coins from the harvest.
Gangsters is for one or two players where they compete against a third entity, the Bean Mafia. The players need to have more profit than each other and the Bean Mafia in order to win. Also includes a few new beans with irregular beanometers.

Ages 13+
30-60 minute play time

Bohnanza: Princes & Pirates
$24.95 SRP

With the Pirates expansion, Bohnanza goes to sea. With Bohnanza, when players harvested beans they immediately sold them for gold coins. With Pirates, players may load their harvested beans onto ships which will deliver them to other markets for higher profits. However, there are pirates on the sea and they lie in wait in their pirate ships to capture the cargoes of merchant ships carrying beans.

Pirates must be played with the Bohnanza basic game as this has the components necessary for up to seven players. Except for changes to the rules described herein, the game is played the same as basic Bohnanza.

Bean princes make their way to sleeping beauty in the king’s castle. They wrestle through thick, overgrown bean vines and must fulfill difficult tasks. The prince who reaches the Castle and has the most gold coins, may kiss sleeping beauty to awaken her, and win the game.

Princes must be played with Ladies or with Bohnanza.

New from Rio Grande Games! CONCORDIA and Power Grid: India/Australia Expansion!

Coming Soon!

RIO499
CONCORDIA
$54.95 SRP

2,000 years ago, the Roman Empire ruled the lands around the Mediterranean Sea. With peace at the borders, harmony inside the provinces, uniform law, and a common currency, the economy thrived and gave rise to mighty Roman dynasties as they expanded throughout the numerous cities. Guide one of these dynasties and send colonists to the remote realms of the Empire; develop your trade network; and appease the ancient gods for their favor - all to gain the chance to emerge victorious!

CONCORDIA is a peaceful strategy game of economic development in Roman times for 2 to 5 players age 13 and up. Instead of luck of dice or cards, players must rely on their strategic abilities. Be sure to watch your rivals to determine which goals they are pursuing and where you can outpace them!

Power Grid: India/Australia Expansion
$14.95 SRP

This is an expansion for Power Grid featuring India and Australia (one map on each side of the board). Players need Power Grid to play the game and follow the normal rules for Power Grid except for the few changes in the rules for this expansions to cover the special conditions of India and Australia.

The object of Power Grid is to supply the most cities with power when someone’s network gains a predetermined size. In this new edition, players mark pre-existing routes between cities for connection, and then bid against each other to purchase the power plants that they use to power their cities.

However, as plants are purchased, newer, more efficient plants become available, so by merely purchasing, you’re potentially allowing others access to superior equipment.

Additionally, players must acquire the raw materials (coal, oil, garbage, and uranium) needed to power said plants (except for the ‘renewable’ windfarm/ solar plants, which require no fuel), making it a constant struggle to upgrade your plants for maximum efficiency while still retaining enough wealth to quickly expand your network to get the cheapest routes.

Requires Power Grid base game to play. (RIO240)
