Quarto! has a 4 x 4 board and
16 pieces in which each piece has four dichotomous attributes; color, height,
shape, and consistency, so each piece is either black or white, tall or short,
square or round, and hollow or solid. The object is to place the fourth piece
in a row in which all four pieces have at least one attribute in common. The
twist is that your opponent gets to choose the piece you place on the board
each turn!

Quoridor is surprisingly deep for its simple rules. The object of the game is
to advance your pawn to the opposite edge of the board. On your turn you may
either move your pawn or place a wall. You may hinder your opponent with wall
placement, but not completely block him off. Meanwhile, he is trying to do the
same to you. The first pawn to reach the opposite side wins.

Color Pop seems like a video
game brought to the board game world, complete with a cool gadget to mimic the
work done by our digital overlords.
The game board consists of an
inclined plastic holder that holds ten racks, with each rack holding ten
colored tokens. Tokens come in five player colors and the five white Jokers
which can represent any color. Each player receives a token that reveals their
color for the game, a token that she keeps hidden from other players.
On a turn, a player chooses a
group of two or more orthogonally connected tokens and pushes on these tokens
so that they fall through the racks and down the holder. A player can choose to
make a joker any color, so she can include or exclude a joker as she wishes
during her turn. Any tokens that were above these will slide down inside the
racks and the player keeps all the tokens removed.
Players take turns removing
tokens until either a player is eliminated from the game or no groups of two or
more tokens remain. At this point, the game ends and players reveal their
secret colors. Whoever has the fewest tokens of their color on the board wins!
If two or more players are tied, they compare the tokens they collected during
the game; whoever collected fewer of his or her own color wins.
You have to be crafty to
completely and discreetly remove all the counters of your color!

Each player is a salesperson
who tries to outwit the others. Each player takes it in turns to throw the dice
and then move Assam, the market organizer. If Assam stops on an opponent’s rug,
the salesperson must make a payment to its owner before putting one of their
own rugs on an adjoining space. When the last rug has been laid, the total
number of visible rugs and the number owned by each salesperson are added up
and the best player wins!

On a turn, a player calls
either ‘more’ or ‘less’, then flips the top card of the deck. According to
what the current players draws, all the players try to catch the figurines
whose shape or colors appear the most or the least on the current card. Each
correct figurine caught will score you one point but you will be penalized if
you make a mistake!
Special cards can be added
to this cheerful confusion so you need to be quick-witted and fast-acting to
