PELGN14
The Persephone Extraction
$26.95 SRP

The Persephone Extraction is a collection of five interlinked adventures for the award-winning Night’s Black Agents system, which can be run in any order as a campaign, or as stand-alone adventures. Five desperate adventures to save the living from the hungry dead!

They are so old they cannot remember their names. They are pale, spindly things, with hollow eyes, and long fingers that scuttle like cave-spiders. They are strong – immensely, inhumanly strong – but act like old, arthritic people, shuffling along painfully, conserving their strength for when they need it. They are fast – terrifyingly, breathtakingly fast – but they move slowly, cautiously, fearfully. Their fear outweighs their preternatural gifts; for centuries, survival and control have been their watchwords, their overriding goals. We must not die, they whisper in the dark, even though they can no longer recall what it is to live. And if the world must die so they can live, so be it.

The Persephone Extraction is a campaign for Night’s Black Agents, combining primal horrors from classical mythology with the modern terrors of conspiracy and bioterrorism, and tracking the undead from Paris to the ultra-rich set in Barcelona, through the closed cities of Arctic Russia, to the islands of Greece and the classical underworld in ancient Turkey.

Trail of Cthulhu: Hideous Creatures: A Bestiary of the Cthulhu Mythos (HC)
$49.95 SRP

A collection of 31 Lovecraftian monsters, written for Trail of Cthulhu but usable in any Mythos horror game. Featuring nine all-new creatures that have never taken stat-block form in any game before! Lovecraft created his "shadowy congeners" because the stories of vampires and werewolves had become too familiar and formulaic to evoke true horror. Almost a century later, his own monstrous races have likewise begun to seem like comfortable story furniture rather than unnerving signals that the world is horrible and wrong.

In Hideous Creatures: A Bestiary of the Cthulhu Mythos, we present a comprehensive look at Lovecraft’s hideous creatures, from as many angles as we can. Our goal is contradiction, surprise, and most especially the uncanny: the recognition of something familiar as something weird. Creatures are not just antagonists to fight or flee from; they are entire adventures by themselves, leaving physical traces, occult clues and madness in their eldritch wake.

Hideous Creatures: A Bestiary of the Cthulhu Mythos is the Trail of Cthulhu bestiary written by Mythos giant Kenneth Hite and fellow experts Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan, Becky Annison, Helen Gould and Ruth Tillman, in the tradition of the award-winning Book of Unremitting Horror and the 13th Age Bestiary.

PELGDG01
The Fall of Delta Green (Mythos RPG, GUMSHOE, Hardback, Full Color)

$49.95 SRP

The Fall of Delta Green is a brand new roleplaying game powered by the GUMSHOE system, from the makers of Trail of Cthulhu and Night’s Black Agents. It is the 1960s. The stars are coming right. The United States declares war on poverty and sends half a million troops to Indochina; desegregates voting booths and shoots rockets at the moon. Everyone believes that if we put our mind to it and our backs into it, there’s nothing we can’t do to make the world better, for America and everyone else. You know that this is a lie. You are an Agent of DELTA GREEN, an authorized but unacknowledged black program of the United States national security establishment, tasked to hunt and destroy the Cthulhu Mythos. You know that plans and ideals, peace and love, matter less than a single atom drifting in the galaxy. All you can do is rage against doom, burn out your mind and body, and damn your non-existent soul keeping your family, your country, your planet, ignorant and safe for one more day. Written by ENnie-Award-winning designer Kenneth Hite, The Fall of Delta Green RPG adapts Delta Green: The Role-Playing Game from Arc Dream Publishing to the award-winning GUMSHOE system. It opens the files on a lost decade of anti-Mythos operations both foreign and domestic, the last days of DELTA GREEN before the Joint Chiefs shut the program down in 1970. Players take on the role of DELTA GREEN operatives, assets, and friendlies, in deadly one-shot adventures or a campaign spanning the years from hope to madness. Hunt Deep Ones beneath the Atlantic, shut down dangerous artists in San Francisco, and delve into the heart of Vietnam’s darkness. After the summer of the 1950s, now comes the fall – the Fall of DELTA GREEN.

Gumshoe One-2-One: Cthulhu Confidential
$34.95 SRP

Cthulhu Confidential is a roleplaying game designed for one player and one game master. It’s powered by the GUMSHOE One-2-One game system which retunes, rebuilds and reimagines the acclaimed GUMSHOE investigative rules set, as seen in such hit roleplaying games as Trail of Cthulhu and Night’s Black Agents, for one player and one GM. Together, you create a story that evokes the classic solo protagonist mystery format.

Cthulhu Confidential drops your hero into the noir nightscape of hardboiled-era Los Angeles, New York or Washington, DC. Meet powerbrokers and politicians, rub shoulders with Hollywood studio bosses and fiery evangelists. Face narrow-eyed G-Men, bent cops and dangerous crime lords. But beneath it all, under the scrim of all this human endeavor, lives corruption so old and inhuman you’ll need all your courage and resourcefulness to face it.

Choose one of three heroes with their own settings and adventures: Langston Wright is an African-American war veteran and scholar in WW2-era DC with a keen intellect. Dex Raymond is a hard-boiled private detective in 1930s Los Angeles with a nose for trouble. And Vivian Sinclair is The New York Herald’s most determined scoop-hound.

Each is a lone investigator, equipped with smarts, fists, and just maybe a code of honor, uncovering their town’s secret truths. But what happens when you scratch the veneer of human malfeasance to reveal an eternal evil—the malign, cosmic indifference of HP Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos?

256 pages, Hardcover, Full color.

Ashen Stars (Gumshoe Sci-Fi RPG)
$44.95 SRP

Ashen Stars is the newest full-length, stand-alone GUMSHOE product from RPG legend, Robin D. Laws.

They call you lasers. Sometimes you’re called scrubbers, regulators, or shinestars. To the lawless denizens of the Bleed, whether they be pirates, gangsters or tyrants, you’re known in less flattering terms.

According to official Combine terminology, the members of your hard-bitten starship crew are known as Licensed Autonomous Zone Effectuators. You’re the seasoned freelancers local leaders call when a situation proves too tough, too baffling, or simply too weird to handle on their own. In the abandoned fringe of inhabited planets known as the Bleed, you’re as close to a higher authority as they come. In this gritty space opera game, the PCs are Lasers, freelance troubleshooters and law enforcers operating in a remote sector called the Bleed. They’re needed in the wake of a massive retreat by the Combine, the Utopian empire that colonized it. Amid the ashes of a devastating war, the lasers solve mysteries, fix thorny problems, and explore strange corners of space—all on a contract basis. They balance the immediate rewards of a quick buck against their need to maintain their reputation, so that they can continue to quickly secure lucrative contracts and pay the upkeep on their ship and their cyber- and viroware enhancements.

Featuring seven new and highly detailed playable species, Ashen Stars also contains extensive, streamlined rules for space combat, 14 different types of ship, a rogues gallery of NPC threats and hostile species’ and a short adventure to get you started in the Bleed.

The Book of Smoke: Occult London
$19.95 SRP

This work is a primer for players of Lovecraftian roleplaying games set in the dismal streets of 1930s London. It is replete with contacts, rumors and clues which will guide you on your quest for forbidden knowledge.

Written as the companion volume to Bookhounds of London for Trail of Cthulhu, it can be used as a Keeper’s resource as well as an in-game artifact for players in any Mythos game.

In 1933 a mysterious secret society commissioned Augustus Darcy to compile a guide to occult London. By the end of that year, Darcy was dead. Within these tales of The Smoke’s legendary past are scattered clues to its future. Was a magical war brewing? Were forces from other dimensions breaking through into our own? Who were the mysterious Brotherhood? Who killed Augustus Darcy and why? After eighty years Darcy’s book is here for you to make up your own mind. Use it as a guide as you venture into Darcy’s world and may your gods be with you in the days ahead.

Is it a work of fiction, an autobiography, an occult miscellany or a murder mystery? A book which should not be read, or one that cannot be cast aside? It is all these things and more, but most of all it is a guide for your own journey through the streets of the Big Smoke.
