New July products from Fantasy Flight Games!

Coming in July!
Lord of the Rings LCG: Across the Ettenmoors
$14.95 SRP

“This new country seemed threatening and unfriendly. As they went forward the hills about them steadily rose. Here and there upon heights and ridges they caught glimpses of ancient walls of stone, and the ruins of towers: they had an ominious look”
–J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the upcoming release of Across the Ettenmoors, the third Adventure Pack in the Angmar Awakened cycle for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game!

After a daring prison break, several of Middle-earth’s heroes race south from Mount Gram, with the fortress’s Goblins and commander hard on their heels. They push across the region’s tainted lands at an exhausting pace, managing to buy themselves a meager bit of distance from their pursuers. However, other dangers lie squarely before them. Their journey leads them to the edges of the Ettenmoors, also known as the troll-fells, a stretch of land rumored to be riddled with Trolls. Still, with the hordes of Mount Gram at their back, the heroes know there’s no path for them but forward. The hills rise, the rocky ground lies quiet under dark clouds and flashes of lightning, and the heroes press on.

The scenario introduced in Across the Ettenmoors thrusts you squarely into the heart of this hostile region, where the oppressive silence is broken only intermittently by the heavy footfalls of towering, lumbering Trolls. In this scenario, you don’t need to slay some fell rider or uncover the Dark Lord’s hidden servants; you need only survive your journey through the Ettenmoors…

Fortunately, you’ll also find a new Tactics hero and three copies each of nine different player cards, including new Signals, Mounts, Ents, and Valour effects.

The sixty cards of The Universe of Tomorrow (three copies each of twenty different cards) transport you to the expo’s plazas and pavilions, where all the major players are eager to unveil their latest innovations. While Haas-Bioroid shows off its newest cybernetics at the Cybernetics Court and NBN pitches new products in Franchise City, you’ll find Jinteki showing off its work at the Genetics Pavilion and the Weyland Consortium garnering public support for its newest initiatives at the Worlds Plaza.

Still, you’ll find others who aren’t swayed by the expo’s optimism and shiny veneer. These include the game's Runners, who approach the expo and its technologies in their own fashions. In The Universe of Tomorrow, the game’s Anarchs push to wrest control of the expo away from those who created it while Shapers view it as a place of wonder and an opportunity to learn more about themselves. Meanwhile, the game’s Criminals see the expo as yet another opportunity to turn a profit.

Cave Troll
$34.95 SRP

The thief stepped gingerly over a moldering skeleton, gripping her knives tightly. She’d heard rumors of a treasure chest in this chamber, overflowing with arcane jewels, gilded weapons, and enough gold to buy her way out of her dangerous life. This was the room – but it was empty save for inch-deep dust and a yawning pit, rimmed with crumbling stone blocks. The thief stumbled back as a wraith manifested above the pit with a ghastly screech, its translucent robes billowing in a wind she could not feel and its decaying hands already reaching for her…

An ancient dungeon has been discovered, filled with treasure for anyone to claim. Unfortunately, this information is no secret. Others have heard of the same dungeon, and even now, they race to seize the gold before you. Your time is limited: gather your forces and enter the dungeon!

Cave Troll invites you to command noble heroes and deadly monsters in a game of strategic positioning and adventure. In every game, you and your opponents enter a twisted dungeon in search of gold at any cost. Rather than controlling a single hero, however, you command both heroes and monsters. By strategically positioning your heroes throughout the dungeon, you can claim gold from certain rooms, but you must always be on your guard. Each player can use monsters to disrupt his opponents’ plans and destroy enemy heroes. In your hour of need, an unearthed artifact may tilt the odds in your favor, but at the end of the game, the player who has gathered the most gold from the dungeon is victorious.

Descent 2nd Edition: Bonds of the Wild
$34.95 SRP

For years, stories have been told of Mabinogi and the Tree of Life. In a time of plague, Mabinogi left his people to follow the tales of a tree that could heal sickness and resurrect the dead. He returned from his journey with a length of blackened wood clutched in his hands. It is said that sickness did not come to that town for many years and Mabinogi never revealed the location of the Tree of Life. As time passed the branch was lost, but recently, rumors have spread of a blackened branch hidden within a den of kobolds.
